David Schey
David Schey has a passion for exploring old
mines, mills, and ghost towns in the American Southwest. His background
includes a master’s degree in geology from the University of Minnesota
and eight years experience as a minerals exploration geologist, working
mostly in the southwestern United States. As a geologist, he has
visited and evaluated the mineral potential of several underground mines
in Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. In the early 1980s, David helped
develop a gold property in South Carolina that later went into
production.
David currently works as a database
programmer/administrator for an engineering and environmental consulting
company where he continues to work with other geologists. Vacations
still find him in old mining areas, piecing together the stories of the
geology and the mines.
CAMPBELL'S GOLD
is his first novel and combines historical facts with adventure and
mystery. David lives in Golden, Colorado, with his wife, Peggy,
and his son, Eric.
